Elite Enemies

Elite enemies are high-priority threats that deal more damage, have significantly more health, and require targeted strategies to defeat efficiently. They begin appearing in Zone II and become increasingly common in Zone III and Zone IV. Elites in Zone IV and Nightmare Zone have a chance to drop Exotic Caches on death.

The Amalgam is an elite-class Cradle enemy and one of the most dangerous regular threats in Endgame. Its body is composed of multiple fused undead, with misplaced limbs and heads forming the structure.

Combat behavior:

  • Attacks are more powerful than standard Cradle enemies.
  • Upon death, rapidly melts, leaving behind a chance to spawn a loot drop.

Armored Fears are armored variants of the standard Fear (zombie) enemy. In previous Treyarch titles they were called Armored Zombies, but in Endgame they appear under the Armored Fear name.

Combat behavior:

  • More durable than standard Fears due to helmet and body armor.
  • Melee-focused. Weaker than elite enemies but requires more damage than a standard Fear to down.
  • Begin appearing from Zone II onward. Common in Command Centers and high-density areas.

Weakness: Shrapnel Rounds ammo type is particularly effective against Armored Fears.

Zone IV and Nightmare Zone variants: In the Nightmare Zone they are persistent and numerous.

Titan-class Guild Soldiers are the heaviest human enemy type in Endgame. They are armed with the Death Machine and appear primarily in Zone IV Command Centers.

Key details:

  • Titans are classified as elite-tier threats within the Guild faction.
  • Clearing a Zone IV Command Center requires defeating Titans as part of the encounter.
  • Titans in Zone IV have a confirmed chance to drop an Exotic Cache on death, making Command Center runs a viable method for exotic weapon farming.

Community research confirms that elite enemies in Zone IV and the Nightmare Zone have a chance to drop Exotic Caches. The following elite types are the most common sources:

The Mega Abomination is covered on its own page: Mega Abomination.

Amalgam variants can appear as HVT (High Value Target) enemies during certain Assignments. HVT Amalgams have increased health and are flagged on the tac map. Eliminating an HVT Amalgam counts toward Assignment completion and rewards better loot than a standard Amalgam kill.
