Exfil

Exfil (extraction) is the method by which players end a match successfully in Endgame. A successful exfil preserves the operator’s Combat Rating and any weapons or equipment extracted during the run. Dying before extracting costs 15 CR and strips your equipped weapons unless a Restore Token is active.

Escape mission card: Clear the LZ and board the VTOL to leave Avalon

Extraction in Endgame follows the same structure as DMZ and Modern Warfare Zombies. Players travel to a VTOL extraction point, clear the landing area of enemies, and board the VTOL to extract. A brief departure countdown begins once the VTOL lands.

Once the countdown finishes, the VTOL lifts off and the match ends for those players with a mission success screen.

  1. Locate the extraction point - Extraction points appear on the Tac Map and C-Link display. Multiple extraction points are active simultaneously across Avalon. Players can choose any available point.

  2. Clear the landing zone - Enemies may be present at or near the landing zone. The VTOL will not land, or will abort, if enemies are actively engaging the area. Clear the immediate area before calling the VTOL or ensure the area is secure before the VTOL arrives.

  3. Board during the countdown - Once the VTOL lands, a departure countdown begins. All squad members must board before the countdown reaches zero. Squad members left behind are not exfiled and must find another extraction point.

  4. Mission success - Boarding the VTOL and completing the departure ends the match with a success state. CR and extracted loadout are preserved.

When the main match timer runs out, all remaining operators still in the Area of Operations face the following consequences:

  • The Cradle instantly floods the operator’s screen with a visual distortion effect
  • Health begins to drain slowly and continuously toward zero
  • All active extraction points are disabled

An extraction that was already in progress (VTOL already called and countdown running) when the timer expires will continue to completion. Players who board a VTOL before the timer runs out but during the departure countdown can still extract successfully.

The match ends when all operators are no longer active in the area, either by extracting, dying from health drain, or being eliminated by enemies.
