Named Exotics
Named exotics are the highest-tier weapons in BO7 Endgame. Unlike weapons upgraded through the Exotic Fabricator, named exotics come directly from loot with a predefined name, a unique exotic camo, and two random traits. They all share the same 3.5x damage multiplier as other exotic-rarity weapons.
What named exotics are
Section titled “What named exotics are”A named exotic is a field-acquired weapon that drops with:
- A unique name (e.g., Hypersurge, Ghostmind, Torrent)
- A visual exotic camo tied to its affinity type
- Two random traits: one Exotic Effect and one Utility Bonus
- A 3.5x damage multiplier at exotic rarity
- A fixed affinity for a specific exotic effect
The name, camo, base weapon, and affinity are always the same for a given named exotic. The two traits are random on every drop.
The affinity appears in the weapon description text (e.g., “Affinity for Shock Rounds”) but is not highlighted separately in the loadout card view. If a named exotic drops with its matching exotic effect already in the first slot, it becomes an “affinity exotic.” Affinity exotics have access to exclusive utility bonuses. If you reroll a named exotic to get its matching effect, it does not count as an affinity exotic.
For a full explanation of affinity mechanics, see Exotics and Affinities.
How to obtain named exotics
Section titled “How to obtain named exotics”Named exotics are obtained from Exotic Weapon Cases (also called Exotic Caches). These cases drop from:
- Gideon Falkner (guaranteed on kill, every run)
- Mega Abomination (guaranteed on kill)
- Zone IV+ activities: HVT Elimination, Prime Target, Surprise Shipment, Strongbox Crack, Gear Drop
- Zone III+ Toxin Field activities
- Zone IV+ elite enemies (chance drop)
- Command Center titans and Zone IV+ Command Center caches
- Toxin Source activity (always guarantees an Exotic Weapon Case)

Weapon cards
Section titled “Weapon cards”How each Named Exotic appears in the loadout screen with its Exotic Effect and Utility Bonus.

Affinity bonuses by exotic type
Section titled “Affinity bonuses by exotic type”Each named exotic has access to three affinity-exclusive utility bonuses tied to its affinity type. These bonuses only appear on weapons that dropped with the matching exotic effect already in the first slot. For the full breakdown of affinity bonuses per exotic type, see Exotics and Affinities.
Rerolling named exotics
Section titled “Rerolling named exotics”You can take named exotic weapons to the Exotic Fabricator to reroll their traits. The reroll process follows the same rules as Fabricator-upgraded weapons. Rerolling the exotic effect does not change the weapon’s name or camo. But if you replace the matching effect, the weapon loses its affinity status.
