Operation Poison Pill

Operation Poison Pill is the first act of the Endgame storyline. JSOC Operator Wei Lin tasks you with gathering Comms Data in Avalon to establish a connection with an inside man after the Guild reverse-engineered Cerebral Link technology. Completing this operation unlocks the Link Forger Glitch Fracture. Progress persists across matches.

With the release of Operation Poison Pill, the associated Nightmare Zone has a special mechanic: O.S.C.A.R. repeatedly respawns after each defeat, allowing multiple Exotic Fabricator uses within a single match.

Tip

Glitch Fracture prerequisite: You must complete all steps of Operation Poison Pill before the Link Forger Glitch Fracture becomes accessible. This is the most commonly missed requirement. If a Glitch Fracture portal appears on your map but you cannot interact with it, check whether you have completed this operation.

Full walkthrough

1. Party Crasher (Zone I or higher)

   Take down a Guild Checkpoint and access the terminal to gain access to a Gear Drop. The Gear Drop will be defended, but in addition to the data it may contain valuable assets like Scorestreaks.

   Objectives:

   • Ping a Guild Checkpoint
   • Complete a Guild Checkpoint Activity
   • Complete a Gear Drop Activity that was called in from a Guild Checkpoint terminal
   • Obtain a Scorestreak from a Supply Drop

   Rewards: Poison Pill weapon charm, 1000 XP

   

2. Press the Attack (Zone I or higher)

   Disrupt Guild Operations and build up your Combat Rating by completing Assignments and Activities. This will allow you to collect valuable data on Guild operations.

   Objectives:

   • Kill 5 enemies with a Scorestreak
   • Complete 3 Activities
   • Complete 1 Assignment
   • Escape successfully from Avalon

   Rewards: Restore Token consumable, 1000 XP

   

3. Eyes in the Sky (Zone I or higher)

   Acquire more data by taking down a Guild Surveillance Drone. Retrieve its data chip, and assassinate any and all targets who were receiving intel from it.

   Objectives:

   • Complete a Surveillance Control Activity
   • Complete an Operative Elimination Activity (started by interacting with a downed Surveillance Drone)

   Rewards: Double XP Token consumable, 1000 XP

   

4. Command Breaker (Zone I or higher)

   You’re tasked with assaulting and securing a Guild Command Center to provide access to another data stream. While there, utilize their advanced Jailbreak Machine to improve your weapons.

   Objectives:

   • Locate a Guild Command Center and complete it
   • Jailbreak a Weapon or Melee Weapon to upgrade its Rarity and damage

   Rewards: Node Husk emblem, 2500 XP

   

5. Mystery Boxes (Zone II or higher)

   Investigate containers in Zone II or higher to see what the Guild is hiding. Sources say they are also a good source of equipment and gear.

   Objectives:

   • Locate and complete 3 Mystery Cargo Assignments
   • Locate and use a Redeploy Drone to quickly move to another location
   • Locate and complete 2 Surprise Shipment Activities

   Rewards: Battle Pass XP Token consumable, 2500 XP

   

6. Hit List (Zone III or higher)

   Assassinate members of the Guild Leadership in Zone III or higher to learn more about what their commanders have been up to.

   Objectives:

   • Complete 3 Prime Target Activities
   • Complete an HVT Assignment

   Rewards: Toxic Entry decal, 2500 XP

   

7. The Red Mist (Zone III or higher)

   There is a serious infestation of Fears in Avalon. Gather data on Fears by eliminating them in Zone III or higher. The mountains near the Golf Course would be a good place to start.

   Objectives:

   • Kill 100 Fears with critical kills
   • Eliminate 3 Fear Special Enemies
   • Eliminate 1 Fear Elite Enemy

   Rewards: Double Weapon XP Token consumable, 5000 XP

   

   Note

   Steps 6 and 7 both require Zone III or higher. This is where the Combat Rating requirement increases. Make sure your CR is high enough before heading into these zones.

8. Elite Hunt (Zone IV or higher)

   Identify and hunt down Elite Enemies in Zone IV or higher so we can acquire data about their activities. Elite Enemies may drop Item Cases with weapons when eliminated.

   Objectives:

   • Hunt and eliminate 3 Elite Enemies
   • Open an Item Case dropped by an Elite Enemy

   Rewards: Thorned Muzzle loading screen, 5000 XP

   

9. Earth Shaker (Zone IV)

   To prove you’re ready for what comes next, complete a World Event and improve your skills.

   Objectives:

   • Participate in and complete a World Event
   • Obtain or upgrade an Exotic Skill

   Rewards: Looking Good! emote, 5000 XP

   

10. Glitch Step: Link Forger (Nightmare Zone)

    The final step. Defeat Strike Boss O.S.C.A.R. to reveal the Link Forger Glitch. Rip open the glitch and overcome the challenges inside.

    Objectives:

    • Defeat the Strike Boss O.S.C.A.R. while on this Step to reveal the Link Forger Glitch
    • Acquire an Exotic Weapon or upgrade a weapon using the Exotic Fabricator
    • Enter the Link Forger Glitch and defeat the Glitch Boss
    • Acquire a Nightmare Skill

    Rewards: Venomous Override weapon blueprint, Fractal Death calling card, 7500 XP

    

    Tip

    Defeat the Link Forger Glitch Boss with Anderson, Mason, and Grimm to earn their Override skin. Earn all 3 to get the animated camo.
