Arrow 109
The Arrow 109 is a launcher-class weapon in BO7 Endgame. It is a commonly asked-about weapon, primarily because of confusion around where it drops and whether it remains obtainable after a change to its loot pool.
What the Arrow 109 is
Section titled “What the Arrow 109 is”The Arrow 109 is a launcher, placing it in the same weapon class as the A.R.C. M1 and other rocket or grenade-type weapons. Launchers in Endgame occupy a distinct role: they deal area-of-effect damage and interact with explosion-related utility bonuses and skill upgrades differently than rifles or SMGs.
As a launcher, the Arrow 109 is compatible with the following utility bonuses:
- Zero Waste - Bullets fired have a 50% chance to not consume ammo
- Kill and Run - Killing enemies grants a temporary movement speed boost
- Reload Swap - The weapon is always reloaded when swapped to
- Ultra-light - Player movement speed is not reduced while in ADS
Zero Waste trait
Section titled “Zero Waste trait”Zero Waste is the most-discussed trait on the Arrow 109. With a 50% chance per shot to not consume ammo, it effectively doubles the functional ammo count of the launcher over a sustained fight. This makes it particularly valuable in extended Zone IV activities and boss encounters where resupply opportunities are limited.
Zero Waste is available to all launchers and several other weapon classes including snipers and the NX Ravager crossbow. See Utility Bonuses for the full availability list.
Drop location and availability
Section titled “Drop location and availability”Before the change, the Arrow 109 was obtainable from loot caches scattered across Avalon. Following the removal, community discussion shifted toward alternative acquisition methods. Based on confirmed reports:
- The Arrow 109 can still appear as a floor loot spawn in higher-tier zones
- It may appear in supply drops from Guild Checkpoint activities
- Zone IV and Nightmare Zone loot pools have been reported as the most reliable source after the cache removal
The weapon has also been reported as upgradeable at the Exotic Fabricator if found in the field, allowing players to bring it to exotic rarity and roll the Zero Waste utility bonus.
Exotic upgrade potential
Section titled “Exotic upgrade potential”As a launcher, the Arrow 109 benefits from the standard 3.5x exotic damage multiplier when upgraded at the Fabricator. Launchers at exotic rarity with Zero Waste and an explosive-type exotic effect represent one of the higher-burst-damage combinations in the game for zone-clearing scenarios.
Named exotic launchers are also obtainable from Exotic Caches. The Criticality (A.R.C. M1 base) is the only named exotic in the launcher class. If a named launcher exotic is the goal, Exotic Caches dropped by Falkner or Mega Abomination kills are the primary source.
